The Five Divertimenti K. 439b consists of 25 pieces originally scored for two clarinets or basset horns and bassoon. It is assumed that Mozart wrote these works for the Stadler brothers, Anton (famous for the Clarinet Concerto) and Johann. Originally scored in C major (Mr. Sauer has arranged them in keys that are more suitable for the Trombone), the 25 pieces were grouped into five movements each. The styles of the movements include Sonata-allegro, Minuet and Trio, Larghetto, Adagio, Rondo and even a Polonaise. This collection of the Five Divertimenti is an immense amount (about 45 minutes total) of very entertaining music, all beautifully arranged by Ralph Sauer for three advanced Trombonists.

Brucknerâ₠¬â„¢s mighty Mass in F minor is one of his most significant creations and one of the great 19th-century choral works. The composer uniquely succeeds in exploring faith through the lens of music. In doing so, he ventures into extreme forms of expression, which caused some disgruntlement among the musicians at rehearsals for the premiere in November 1868. Feng was commissioned by the San Francisco Citywinds with a Chamber Music America commissioning award. The world premiere was given on January 13, 1999, at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Berkeley; the New York premiere was on January 17 at St. Malachi's/The Actors' Chapel at the CMA Commissioning Showcase concert. The character feng in Chinese means wind or the winds, also view, folk songs, style and manner... I use five standard western wind instruments to sound the eastern feeling of the winds in the quintet Feng, which consists of two movements: Introduction and Rondo.
