Dynamic and ribbon microphones have generally low output levels and require no external power supply. Condenser microphones generally have a higher sensitivity than dynamic or ribbon microphones and require 48V external phantom power. The WA12-500 is a high voltage, fully discrete mic pre-filled circuit with two transformers. It offers a high gain level ( 71 dB), a large power reserve, a reduced noise level and impeccable sound performance that allows it to adapt to all recording applications. The WA12-500 uses custom-made CineMag input and output transformers manufactured in the United States.
