Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was a German musician and composer the second of three sons of Johann Sebastian Bach and Maria Barbara Bach. He was a crucial composer during the transition between the Baroque and Classical periods. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's Piano Works contains six sonatas from the collections of 'Kenner und Liebhaber'. This piece is included in the 2018-2021 ABRSM Piano Syllabus (Grade 8)
