ISBN 9790080401255. A/5 (14,2x20) inches. Imre Mezo. Fantasia to large symphonic orchestra based on themes of the world famous choral work 'Miserere' by Gregorio Allegri (1582-1652) and on W. A. Mozart's motet 'Ave verum Corpus'. Its program, in Liszt's words, says: 'Man's misery and anguish are expressed in Miserere: God's infinite mercy and attention.. reply and sing.. in Ave verum corpus..'. Liszt composed the work in Rome in 1862, but the exact date of instrumentation (orchestral score) is not known-presumably it was also 1862 or 1863. The work is also known in piano, organ and piano duet versions. Priority Direct Import titles are specialty titles that are not generally offered for sale by US based retailers.
