Score-Duke Ellington's Come Sunday arranged by Paul Murtha for solo Alto Saxophone with Concert Band.Come Sunday was originally composed as part of Ellington'ssuite Black Brown and Beige. After a disappointing critical response to its first performance in 1943 Ellington divided the three-part suite into six shorter sections leaving in 'Come Sunday' and 'Work Song'. It isthis version that he recorded for an album of the same title in 1958.
