Instrumental Solo,Pipe Organ - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1251271 By Indrė Gerikaitė. By Juozas Naujalis. Arranged by Balys Vaitkus. Classical,Religious,Romantic Period. Individual part. 2 pages. Nacionaline vargonininku asociacija #845547. Published by Nacionaline vargonininku asociacija (A0.1251271). 12 Organ Trios, Op. 4. Taking into account the date of publication (1897) these seem to be the first printed organ compositions of Naujalis. They were published in Warsaw, in the collection Preludia na organy, part 2, series III. The publication soon received positive comments in the Polish newspaper of the St. Cecilia Society, Musica sacra (1898 No. 5). There are many signs that Naujalis used this edition as his favourite teaching manual since the fingerings and pedaling given are from the author himself.Juozas Naujalis (1869–1934) – Lithuanian composer and organist. In 1892, he was appointed organist and choir leader at the Kaunas Cathedral, a position he held until his death. Naujalis became actively involved in organizing local musical societies and institutions. As an outcome of his groundbreaking work, a number of important private entities, such as the first boys’ choir in Lithuania based at the Archcathedral Basilica in Kaunas, courses and the school for organists (1911), the first legal Lithuanian bookshop and music publishing house in Kaunas (1905–1912), the first music magazine Vargonininkas (The Organist) and calendars for organists published in Lithuanian (1909–1910), and the music school in Kaunas (1919), have been launched. In 1908, he founded the Children Society and St. Gregory Society for Organists, which was later reorganised into St. Cecilia Society for church musicians (1924). Naujalis was also the first Lithuanian composer to achieve recognition abroad. His church music was published in Regensburg, Warsaw, St. Petersburg, Leipzig and Paris. In recognition of his merits in the field of church music he was made Commander of the Order of the Crown of Italy in Rome, in 1929.A total of 29 organ pieces by Naujalis were recorded at the Archcathedral Basilica in Kaunas in 2019.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534363 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Paul Wehage. Baroque,Sacred,Standards. 179 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3387883. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534363). The Six Trio Sonatas, BWV 525-530 were composed about 1727 during Bach’s period in Leipzig. They were not composed for organ, but (according to Forkel, Bach’s first biographer whose information came from Bach’s son Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach) for the pedal harpsichord as means of improiving the pedal technique of his son Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. This instrument, which requires a great deal of precision in performance, contains a normal harpsichord with two manuals attached to a pedal board which activates another harpsichord which is lower to the ground. Many of the movements in these Italian sonatas were used in other settings, in Bach’s Cantatas and in other instrumental works.Bach always tuned his own keyboards and confided his tuning system to his student Johann Kimberger (1721-1788) who used this information to devise several tuning schemes to create a well-tempered system according to Bach’s ideas. The main principal that Bach gave Kimberger was that all thirds should be tuned slightly sharp (...alle grossen Terzen scharf). The saxophone is an ideal instrument to experiment with this sort of tuning, given the possibilities for adjustment in the embouchure. Nothing can replace a good set of ears in the process and use of electronic tuning devices should be avoided, unless they can be specifically programmed to reflect these sorts of non-standard tunings.Sonata no. 1 in Eb major, BWV 525 Sonata no. 2 in c minor , BWV 526 Sonata no. 3 in d minor, BWV 527 Sonata no. 4 in e minor, BWV 528 Sonata no. 5 in C major, BWV 529 Sonata no. 6 in G major, BWV 530

5 Famous Songs by Bach for Flute Trio
Flute Trio: 3 flutes

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Flute - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138510 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Early Music,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738850. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138510). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for flute trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. They are also suitable for performances at events such as: weddings, Christian and church ceremonies, Easter, and academic recitals or concerts. They can be used in music institutions and by teachers as repertoire material and study methods, either for performance or instrumental technique. This collection includes a totally free bonus for you to enjoy: Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress is Our God, a Renaissance sacred song for choir, which has been adapted for this set. 1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. 2: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. Of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part. 3: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary's Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Although it is the 32nd cantata composed by Bach, of those that have survived, it was given BWV 147 in the complete catalog of his works. 4: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. 5: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. Bonus: A Mighty Fortress is Our God, by Martin Luther - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism, where it is also known as Deus noster refugium et virtus. Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Tenor Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138516 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738857. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138516). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for tenor saxophone trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire.

String Trio - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552111 Composed by Bach-Gounod. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. 10 pages. Jmsgu3 #6120335. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552111). SchwenckeThere are two popular versions of the Bach-Gounod Ave Maria to consider. Firstly, we have the version that exactly follows the harmonic scheme set forth by J. S. Bach in his Prelude #1 in C Major from the Well-Tempered Clavier, Book 1. Secondly, we have the arrangement introduced by the Choirmaster Christian Friedrich Gottlieb Schwencke in 1783 that introduces a controversial added measure designed to intensify the harmony in measure 27. Both versions employ the melody that Charles Gounod provided as an overlay to the Bach harmony. In either case, the convenient 1st & 2nd endings provide options for extended performance. The duration with the repeat runs about 4:50.  This version features the Schwencke measure (ms 27). Ave MariaAve Maria is a Catholic prayer that consequently asks for the mother of Jesus (Mary) to intercede. Charles Gounod composed a famous version of the Ave Maria. He was a French Romantic composer who overlaid a new melody on an existing Bach chord progression. This version, as well as Schubert’s version, have become essential items at weddings, masses, and funerals.Bach OverviewJohann Sebastian Bach was prolific. As a result, everyone has heard of his works. Furthermore, these works number well over a thousand. It seems like people are probably most familiar with instrumental works such as the Brandenburg Concertos, and the Goldberg Variations. But, similarly famous are such noteworthy works as the Well-Tempered Clavier, the Musical Offering, and the Art of Fugue. Seems like his most famous vocal works include the most noteworthy Mass in B Minor. Also, most noteworthy, though, are the St. John Passion, and certainly the Christmas Oratorio. Bach HistoryBach came from a long line of musicians and above all, composers. Consequently, he, first of all, pursued a career as a church organist. So as a result, he gained employment in various Protestant churches in Germany. For a while, he worked as a court musician in Weimar and Köthen. Here he probably developed his organ style and likewise his chamber music style. Eventually, he gained an appointment as Cantor of St. Thomas in Leipzig. Here he worked until difficulties with his employer ultimately drove him away. The King of Poland finally appointed him as court composer. Bach StyleIt seems like Bach created an engaging new international style. He synthesized elements of the most noteworthy European music ideas into his new style. Even more, this new style was probably his synthesis of European musical rhythm and form. Furthermore, he demonstrated a complete mastery of counterpoint and motivic development. His sense of harmonic organization probably propelled him to the top.Bach Revival        Mendelssohn conducted a Bach revival in the nineteenth century. His effort probably helped to re-familiarize the public with the magnitude of Bach’s works. During this period, scholars published many noteworthy Bach biographies. Moreover, Wolfgang Schmieder published the BWV (Bach Werke Verzeichnis). As a result, this is now the official catalog of his entire artistic output. The BWV number allows us to locate a work in the catalog. Sometimes scholars will simply use an S (Schmieder) as an abbreviation for BWV.

There are lot trio formation versions, but I did not find any quartet version. Originally composed for organ by J.S.Bach I have composed the viola part and I have arranged the left and right hand parts to make it easier to play on violins and woodwind instruments. The pedalier part (violonchelo) has been changed to lowered to give space for viola part. The viola part has been composed in Bach style contributing rhythm and armonic wealth to the whole piece.I have really enjoyed this project because when the ingredients are very good, the end result will be very good. How big is Bach !!! ....Enjoy it!!.
