Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1419502 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Daniel Kaplan. Baroque,Chamber,Classical. 37 pages. Daniel Kaplan #1000937. Published by Daniel Kaplan (A0.1419502). Arrangement by Daniel Kaplan for woodwind quintet of Bach's Prelude and Fugue No. 20 in A minor from Book 1 of The Well Tempered Clavier. This monumental fugue employs a dramatic subject that later appears in inversion, leading to some very striking counterpoint; by the end, the emotional impact is overwhelming. Kaplan is engaged in a project to make classics from other genres available to woodwind players and has arranged several other great works for this ensemble, including many of his favorites from The Well Tempered Clavier (also avaiable on this website). The woodwind quintet is especially well suited for contrapuntal music since the distinctive tone colors of the wind instruments bring out the contrapuntal lines and make them clearer to the listener.

Cello,Double Bass,Soprano Flute,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1489327 By David Ganc. By Daniel Ganc / David Ganc. Arranged by David Ganc. Multicultural,World. 41 pages. David Ganc #1066187. Published by David Ganc (A0.1489327). Um Pife pro Pai. Original tune written by Daniel Ganc and David Ganc. Son and father composed together this music. Daniel gave a Pife - a bamboo flute typical from the northeast region from Brazil – as a present to me. I immediately improvised some phrases and sent them to Daniel, who harmonized it to complete and organize the song. After that I wrote this arrangement for 2 C Flutes and String Orchestra. The result is a very cheerful forró that we dedicated to the luthier of the pife, the virtuoso Alexandre Rodrigues. It was premiered in Manaus at the XX International Flute Festival by ABRAF - 2024, accompanied by the Amazonas Chamber Orchestra. The piece has an interactive improvisation section for the 2 soloists.Score and parts included (2 flutes, violin, viola, cello and double bass).

Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1139276 Composed by Ennio Morricone. Arranged by Juan José Peláez Vilanova. 20th Century,Film/TV. Score and parts. 47 pages. John Joseph #739559. Published by John Joseph (A0.1139276). The weight of Ennio Morriocone in the composition of film music in the second half of the s. XX is indisputable, in terms of innovation and production volume. The particular technique of treating the melodic cells will become a paradigm of his language, along with the use of innovative timbres, which were not common in the orchestral music of the time. The close collaboration with Sergio Leone during the 60s will contribute to consolidating him as a benchmark in the sound of the Western genre. After the success of the so-called Dollar Trilogy, Paramount Pictures asked Leone to repeat the formula before tackling other projects. This one, with a more generous budget, will start filming C'era una volta il West, an eclectic story in which all the characteristic elements of the genre are represented: the railroad, the gunslingers and bandits, the american pioneers, the woman of character indomitable and the enigmatic man in search of revenge. Leone again entrusted the soundtrack to Ennio Morricone, playing this one a fundamental role in the story. The present transcription incorporates the original sounds of the author, such as the harmonica, the electric and classical guitar, the harpsichord or the choir, in the ensemble of the concert band, seeking to achieve a greater sound fidelity with the score. Understanding the difficulty that having these resources can entail, the previous specific parts are of an optional nature, so that the arrangement also works without them, and also if any of the parts is incorporated independently of the rest.

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus divisi - Digital Download SKU: A0.1467817 Composed by Duarte Domingues. Classical,Contemporary,Latin,Religious,Sacred. 56 pages. S. Caeciliae Publisher #1046117. Published by S. Caeciliae Publisher (A0.1467817). The Te Deum is a thanksgiving hymn of the IV/V century, attributed to Saint Ambrose and Saint Augustine. The text has a distinctly trinitarian structure, developing around the praise to the Most Holy Trinity. With inspirations of O. Messiæn, A. Pärt, J. Langlais, M. Duruflé and G. Finzi, composers who dwelled on the sacred music in their time, and based on the gregorian tonus solemnis of the Te Deum, this work aims to be an echo of the western sacred music of the XX century. It adopts a classic configuration for organ and choir, with solo parts in both voice and organ. It is explored, above all, the illustration of the text and the liturgy with the several musical resources that these composers utilized in their writing.I. Te Deum laudamusII. Tibi omnes AngeliIII. Josquin des Prez (c.1450-1521) was a composer of the Renaissance period, widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. His compositions set the standard for polyphonic music and are considered a high point in the history of music. He wrote a wide range of works, including masses, motets, and chansons, and was the first composer to set popular secular tunes as mass movements. His influence can be seen in the works of many later composers, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, and George Frideric Handel.Josquin des Prez was a prolific composer of chamber music and duets during the Renaissance period. He wrote several types of chamber music and duets, including madrigals, chansons, and motets. His compositions are characterized by their intricate counterpoint, as well as their harmonic richness and emotional expressiveness. His works often featured two voices in harmony, and he was known to use imitation and complex canonic techniques to create interesting musical textures. Josquin's chamber music and duets are renowned for their complexity and beauty, and they remain some of the most influential and admired works from the Renaissance period.Josquin Desprez is widely regarded as one of the most influential composers of the Renaissance period. His innovative use of counterpoint and canon helped to revolutionize the musical landscape of the time. Counterpoint is a technique of combining two or more independent melodies in a way that creates harmony and a cohesive musical texture. Josquin was a master of this technique, often combining multiple voices in complex contrapuntal textures. His use of canon, or round, was also highly influential. Canon involves two or more voices repeating the same melody in different registers and often with different rhythms. Josquin wrote canons in various styles and forms, including the popular “circular canon†and the more complex “strict canon.†He was also an early adopter of the “inverted canon†form, in which the same melody is repeated but in an inverted form. Josquin’s use of counterpoint and canon had a lasting impact on the development of Western music and helped to establish the foundation for many of the musical forms and techniques still used today.Contents: I. Contest,Festival,Instructional,Renaissance,Traditional,Wedding. 50 pages. Jmsgu3 #678573. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1074280). Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.869254 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 5 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #32677. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869254). When the Reed sisters, Elizabeth & Lydia, asked me to write a new work for two pianos, I wasn't quite sure where or how to begin. Then I came upon a book on numerology by Annemarie Schimmel, The Mystery of Numbers. In it I discovered a lot of fascinating things, mystical and magical, associated with each number from one to 10,000. Since I would be writing a piece for a duo, double digits would do the trick. Number 22 stood out. It has two important associations: the Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters, and there are 22 major arcana cards or allegories of the Tarot. Perfect! I could write 22 pieces, each a musical rendering of a card. And, coincidentally, this work will opus 66.For pictorial inspiration, I bought a Pierpont Morgan Library copy of the Visconti-Sforza Tarot Cards from 15th century Italy. For musical inspiration, I listened to the wonderful salon music of the Polish composer Frederic Chopin, the American composer Louis Moreau Gottschalk, and the Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth. The 22 pieces in the Visconti-Sforza Tarot Cards are: Zero Il Matto The Fool entertains the gathered guests with a tarantella. I. Il Saltimbanco The Mountebank shuffles his cards and does a samba. II. La Papessa The High Priestess concocts a magic potion. III. L'Imperatrice The Empress dances all night. IV. L'Imperatore The Emperor promenades into the Great Hall and inspects the courtiers. V. Il Papa The Pope makes a proclamation that all sinners will be pardoned. VI. L'Amore Love in a tropical paradise. VII. Il Carro Triumphant in battle, the gladiators ride into town on chariots. VIII. La Giustizia Justice is swift and unrelenting. IX. Il Vecchio The Old Man reminisces. X. La Ruota della Fortuna Fortunes rise and fall unpredictably. XI. La Fortezza Strength and fortitude will prevail. XII. Il Penduto Lamentation for the Hanged Man. XIII. Il Morte Death lurks around the corner. XIV. La Temperanza Temperance in A major. XV. Il Diavolo The Devil seduces with his charm and wit. XVI. La Torre The tower topples and crashes onto the populace gathered below. XVII. La Stella Twinkle, twinkle, little star ... XVIII. La Luna Minuet for moonstruck lovers. XIX Il Sole Sunshine, margaritas and salsa cubana. XX Il Giudizio On the Day of Judgment, the angels blow their trumpets ... XXI. Il Mondo The world would be a happier place if we all dance together. Performance option: Shuffle the 22 allegory cards from the Tarot deck to determine the order of performance.

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.869317 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 2 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #2032477. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869317). YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/user/thomasoboelee/videosWhen the Reed sisters, Elizabeth & Lydia, asked me to write a new work for two pianos, I wasn't quite sure where or how to begin.
