Written from the perspective of a parent witnessing and experiencing their child's growth, the music offers the listener, as well as the performer, an innocent melody that develops into a fully orchestrated piece. All voices within the ensemble actively help to create this feeling throughout the grade 3+ composition, including an optional percussion part that is designed to enhance the colors of the piece (wind chimes, glockenspiel, tam-tam, and suspended cymbal.
