Adolphe Adam's carol, also known as Cantique de Noel, was initially criticized by church authorities who observed a lack of musical taste and the absence of religious perception. Today the song is popular worldwide, and is still sung often - in churches, too. Roland Kernen has arranged this beautiful version for wind band.
