With a very tender opening, Hyun Kook's setting of this Christmas text inspires a sense of transcendental awe as the music traverses a number of keys. About halfway through, the homophonic texture changes with canonic restatements of the opening theme before ending with quiet "Alleluias" and "Amens.".
