Avec ce préampli, les guitares électriques, les basses, les guitares acoustiques et les autres instruments à cordes (violons, violoncelles et contrebasses) dévoilent tout leur potentiel sonore. Cette version SW ajoute un commutateur au pied soft-touch au LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER II standard pour te permettre d'activer et désactiver la pédale.Le commutateur LEHLE utilise un micro-contrôleur et un circuit intelligent de true-bypass par relai avec système actif de suppression des bruits de commutation. Ainsi, il commande le LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II plus rapidement qu'un commutateur mécanique, le tout sans usure ni bruit résiduel. Le poussoir en forme de champignon caractéristique des produits LEHLE est logé dans le boîtier de sorte que la force exercée par la pression de ton pied ne soit transmise qu'indirectement par le biais d'un ressort. Ainsi, le circuit imprimé n'est exposé à aucune pression mécanique, ce qui rend le LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II quasiment indestructible et lui garantit une longue durée de vie.Équipé d'un étage d'entrée discret de classe A à technologie JFET, le LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II propose deux modes de fonctionnement : en mode D (pour « Driver »), le signal entrant est amplifié de façon totalement neutre. Cela permet d'éviter toute perte de signal engendrée par de grandes longueurs de câble ou des processeurs d'effets. Le signal reste puissant et clair et conserve toute sa dynamique.En mode S (pour « Sunday »), l'impédance d'entrée est multipliée par cinq. Cela permet de révéler des détails sonores imperceptibles auparavant. Lorsqu'on augmente le gain du LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II, le son se pare d'une chaleur et d'une personnalité caractéristiques. Aucune distorsion n'apparaît dans le signal. Même avec le gain maximal de +18 dB, le signal reste toujours propre.Grâce à une dynamique de 130 dB digne des meilleurs équipements de studio, le signal du LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II est dénué de tout bruit résiduel. Pour exploiter toute la dynamique de tes amplis à lampes, la tension d'entrée derrière le connecteur d'alimentation est redressée, filtrée, stabilisée puis transformée pour atteindre 30 V.Quand il est désactivé, le LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II offre deux modes de fonctionnement différents : en mode TB (pour « True-Bypass »), l'entrée et la sortie sont reliées entre elles par le biais d'un relai pour éviter toute perte sonore. Le mode True-Bypass est adapté aux petites configurations avec des longueurs de câble réduites ou quand une pédale Treble-Booster ou Fuzz classique est branchée derrière le LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II.En revanche, si tu utilises de grandes longueurs de câble ou un pedalboard contenant de nombreuses pédales, la meilleure solution est un amplificateur de ligne. Dans ce cas, utilise le LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II en mode TS (pour « True-Sound ») pour le transformer en ampli tampon sans amplifier ni colorer ton signal. Le LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II devient alors un amplificateur de ligne totalement neutre, ce qui correspond au mode D avec bouton de gain en butée gauche. La possibilité de choisir le type de bypass permet au LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER SW II de s'intégrer parfaitement à n'importe quelle configuration et d'être universellement utilisable.
