Par LUCIUK JULIUSZ. The Three Miniature Pieces for violin and piano were written in 1984. The composer dedicated them to his daughter Agnieszka, who performed them during her diploma cincert at the end of her studies at Cracow Music Academy. This work forms cycle, to be performed as a whole, although each of the pieces can also function independently. As a cycle, it has an inner logic, based on an organisation modelled on a three-movement sonata. It also displays some similarity to Szymanowski's Mythes, particularly in terms of the combinations of different types of expression. / Répertoire / Violon et Piano
