The continuous semiquaver movements denote the continuous back and forth repetition of the swinging of the trapeze, where the slightly disjointed melody gives a feeling of anticipation. What is coming next? How high? How fast? The conclusion imitates the introduction, very slightly changed, as this time we have dismounting and taking bows.Hopefully both the performers and audience will feel somewhat uplifted.
