Roberto Benigni's film, winner of three Oscars, is accompanied by the unforgettable Nicola Piovani's soundtrack. The main theme portrays the beauty of life that even in the face of human tragedy, such as deportation and racial segregation, a father gathers the strength to protect his child from the crimes that are perpetrated inside the more...concentration camp in which both are held captive. In a tender way the father manages to hide the child from the horrors of the camp by inventing a game for them to play where the prize for the eventual winner would be a tank.
