Tuba solo SKU: P2.90117
Composed by Wendy Wan-Ki Lee. 20th century. Published by Potenza Music (P2.90117). In composing this work, I was very much inspired by Eastern philosophy. The idea of life as an ongoing wheel, as well as the Chinese proverb, the beginning is not the beginning, the end is not the end, can be related to the Buddhist belief of reincarnation. In this piece, the three movements represent faded memories or reminiscence of past lives. Although inspired by Budhhist ideas, the piece is composed in the Western style.
