This exuberant solo is as fun to listen to as it is to play. The lively melody, divided between the hands, features chromatic half steps, three-note slurs and lots of staccato. Written in A-B-A form, both hands are in Middle C position in the A sections. The left hand remains in that position for the entire piece while the right hand moves in sequential patterns in the B section. The optional teacher duet part adds harmonies and contributes to the happy-go-lucky feel of the piece.
