The four flexible line inputs: two front with gain control and two on the rear can record up to four mono sources or two stereo sources at the line level (synthesizers or drum machines) with enhanced clarity. A pair of loopback virtual inputs can capture a stereo source from any combination of hardware inputs and software playback channels, facilitating podcasting, live streaming, and even sampling . The Scarlett 8i6 connects directly to a Mac or PC via a USB cable, without any external power supply. It comes with all the necessary software tools to get started.
