Added by bernard-dewagtere, 09 Mar 2009 Japanese traditional song sakura sakura was primarily played on shakuhachi (bamboo flute). During World War II, the sakura being an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life, was used to motivate the Japanese pilots. They would paint them on the sides of their suicide planes. Their souls were reincarnated in the blossoms. Sheet central : | Sakura (Cherry Blossom) (36 sheet music) | |
