A Remembrance of Viktor Hartmann? is a famous suite in ten movements composed for piano by Modest Mussorgsky in 1874 and later orchestrated by various musicians whose most famous is that of Maurice Ravel in 1922. Vladimir Stasov comment: "A medieval castle before which a troubador sings a song." This movement is thought to be based on a watercolor depiction of an Italian castle. Hartmann often placed appropriate human figures in his architectural renderings to suggest scale. Sheet central : | Tableaux d'une exposition (118 sheet music) | |
