These dances spread to the cities where Noblemen, bored with their minuets, slipped away to join the Balls of their servants where the new dances were popular. The waltz (valse in French) was regarded as an entertainment of low morality and in 1825 the Oxford dictionary recorded the waltz as being "riotous and indecent", it however eventually became fashionable in Britain later in the Regency period. Alastair Lewis is a native of The Republic of South Africa. He was born in the present-day capital of the kwazulu-natal province, Pietermaritzburg. In his youth he learnt the piano, and guitar. After he schooling he continued classical and jazz studies in the guitar. He is the owner of the website www.maestros-of-the-guitar.com This free sheet music is for solo guitar. |
