Giacomo Setaccioli (1868 - 1925)

Giacomo Setaccioli ( Corneto , December 8 1868 - Siena , December 3 1925 ) was a composer and teacher Italian .
He studied flute at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome and was a student of composition of Cesare De Sanctis . After graduation, in 1893, began his career as a composer.

His first work, The last of Abenceagi attracted the attention of the tenor Roberto Stagno and soprano Gemma Bellincioni . They also sang at the premiere of his second opera The sister of Mark (1896) at the T ... (Read all)
