Eduardo José Alves Souto ( São Vicente , 14 of April of 1882 - Rio de Janeiro , 18 of August of 1942 ), known only as Eduardo Souto was a pianist , composer and conductor Brazilian . He dedicated himself to several genres, such as waltz , tango and samba , highlighting the popularization of carnival marches . He was the founder of Casa Carlos Gomes, a meeting place for musicians in Rio de Janeiro .
