Rossouw van der Merwe was born may 1990 in South-Africa. He started piano lessons at age 6 and saxophone at the age of 14. He has played in various wind bands and symphonic orchestras (usually doubling horn, trombone or basoon part on saxophone), including the Affies Jazz Band, Pretoria University Concert Ensemble and Simfonia Juventi.
