Miska Hauser (1822 - 1887)

Miska (Michael) Hauser (* 1822 in Pressburg , † December 8th 1887 in Vienna ) was an Austro-Hungarian violin virtuoso and composer .

Hauser's father, a well-known violinist and friend of Beethoven , awoke in his son's passion for playing the violin. His musical education was at Bratislava at Hauser Josef Matalay . Starting from 1835 he sat in Vienna his lessons in violin playing at Joseph Böhm and Josef Mayseder continued and studied composition with Conradin Kreutzer and Simon Sechter .
