Ajoutée par crosby3145, 25 Jui 2017 Some hymns are just remembered for their first verses. With this one, you need all the verses, particularly the last. When Christ returns, William O. Cushing explains in the first verse, He will gather the gems for His crown. What are the gems? Well, we don’t get the answer until the third verse—“little children who love their Redeemer.” Thus, this is a great hymn to sing to children as you encourage them to live for Jesus. Perhaps Cushing wrote it for his own kids. 1. When He cometh, when He cometh To make up His jewels, All His jewels, precious jewels, His loved and His own. 2. He will gather, He will gather, The gems for His kingdom, All the pure ones, all the bright ones, His loved and His own. 3. Little children, little children Who love their Redeemer Are the jewels, precious jewels, His loved and His own. Chorus: Like the stars of the morning, His bright crown adorning, They shall shine in their beauty— Bright gems for His crown. Partition centrale : | When He Cometh (2 partitions) | |
