Thomas Babou, born in Liège, Belgium, on February 12,
1656, died in Liège around 1740 is a Liège organist
and composer. Very little is known about him at the
moment. He was organist at the Collegiate Church of
Saint John the Evangelist of Liège,at least from 1687
until 1726.
His son, Jean-François-Pascal(1700-1767), was also organist at the collegiate (from 1726 to 1767), practised as a notary, and was secretary of the chapter of St. John from 1742. He is probably owed a copy of an...(+) |
