Ajoutée par crosby3145, 01 Aoû 2022 Stirring arrangement of God So Loved the World, perfect for prelude, offertory, or other church special. This hymn is #488 in the old edition of Soul-Stirring Songs & Hymns, but it's really more intended for the choir than the congregation. Like most of Stainer's works, it's really more of a choir piece, written so that it actually sounds full and complete even when performed a capella. Arranging it for piano was no easy task, as the original thrives on long sustained notes, something the piano is not known for. The resulting arrangement might have a little more going on underneath the melody than the choir version, particularly rhythmically, but it makes a piece originally suited for choir effective in a totally different type of performance. I hope you enjoy! Partition centrale : | The Crucifixion (4 partitions) | |
