Ajoutée par alfredo17, 15 Aoû 2023 JOHANNA MÜLLER – HERMANN (1868 Wien – 1941 Wien) was born in a musically very interested family. But Johanna was urged to be educated as teacher for lower schools. When in 1893 she married the ministry officer Dr. Otto Müller-Martini, she became financially independent and was able to study music, among her teachers have been Alexander von Zemlinsky, Bohuslav Foerster and Franz Schmidt. Then she started her activity as composer. From 1918 – 1932 she served as professor for music theory in the Konservatorium in Wien. Most of her compositions have been performed during her lifetime. The ‘Sonate für Violine und Klavier’ op. 5 has been performed first in 1908. Here we present an arrangement of this sonata for clarinet and piano. |
