Ajoutée par wernerdebleser, 01 Avr 2023 TOWN TALK for concert band was written in 1986 and has of two movements: "It's allright with me" and "In the Neighbourhood". "It's allright with me" is a slow movement in which the theme is played at the beginning and the end by the whole orchestra. In between, we hear an improvisation on this theme by first the alto saxophone and then the clarinet, each time interrupted by a tutti refrain. In the faster "In th neighbourhood", a first theme is introduced by the clarinets, after which it is taken over by the whole orchestra. A second theme is introduced by the trumpets and trombones, after which the trumpets recite a third melody. After this, the first and second themes are repeated again to conclude with a short coda in which the drums are allowed to shine. |
