Ajoutée par alfredo17, 28 Mai 2021 Bärmann’s Quintet op. 23 is for clarinet in Bb, 2 violins, viola, violoncello and 2 horns ad lib., usually it is performed without the horns. The second movement ‘Adagio’ is in D flat major, for the strings a somewhat awkward key. Here we present a version in C major for the strings, the clarinet part remains unchanged when played on a clarinet in A. It is interesting to note that for a long time erroneously the Adagio has been attributed to Richard Wagner, who was about 6 years in 1819, when Bärmann played the piece first in London. |
