He was a second cousin of Johann Sebastian Bach, since 1703 in Eisenach as harpsichordist at the ducal court (collaboration with Telemann as music director) and since 1741 as organist at St. George's Church Eisenach (where Johann Sebastian Bach was baptized in 1685). Johann Sebastian Bach performed pieces by Johann Bernhard with the Collegium musicum in Leipzig. |
