Ajoutée par kheidtmann, 22 Janv 2019 Louise Françoise de Bourbon was the eldest surviving legitimized daughter of Louis XIV of France and Madame de Montespan. Endowed with a deep passion for music and dance, she also possessed a wicked sense of humor and mischief. When she was 7 years old, Lully composed for her the „Air de la jeunesse“ in his ballet „Triomphe de l'Amour“. Later on she smoked a pipe and could drink most men under the table! Without doubt, enough biographical information for Couperin to immortalize her in his gavotte “La Bourbonnoise.” ABRSM Grade 2 (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) |
