Emil Adamic (1877 - 1936) Slovénie Emil Adamič (December 25, 1877 – December 6, 1936) was among the most productive Slovenian composers. He wrote choral and orchestral music, altogether over 1000 works.
Adamič was born in Dobrova and studied at conservatories in Trieste and Ljubljana. He composed pieces for orchestra (Tatarian Suite, Water-colours of Ljubljana) and choir (The Devil's Bride, The Death of Tsar Samuel). He also wrote songs that used elements of Slovenian folk music, such as Farmer Winter Song His influences included Romanticism, Impressionism, and Expressionism. He died in Ljubljana.
