Scala Vilagio F.H. Andrea Guarneri Viola 1676, handmade in Germany by master luthier Florian Hertzsch, the Andrea Guarneri viola model is very popular among viola players and thus is copied pretty often. Andrea Guarneri was the grandfather of Guarneri del Gesu and he was taught his craft by Nicolo Amati. He has a reputation notably for his violas. The 1676 viol model features a back length of 16,5'' and thus delivers a strong and powerful tone. Scala Vilagio F.H. Gasparo da Salo Viola 1580, handmade in Germany by master luthier Florian Hertzsch, Gasparo Bertolotti ' daSaló ' is considered to be one of Brescia`s most successful luthiers. Not only was he a musician which was enormously helpful in perfectioning the sound-quality of his instruments, but also he trained and taught famous luthiers like Maggini. Gasparo da Saló is well known for his amazingly full and low sounding instruments, the small viola from 1580 being one of them. The high arching of top- and back-plate in addition to the enormous width of the body result in an extraordinary richness of sound. Here we have a extremely light-weight viola featuring a short scale and a big tone.
