I used to play semi professionaly and had the whole original book- can't find it as so long ago lol this is THE book to make u as good as u can be |
As the other reviewers have noted, this is for advanced players, not absolute beginners. That said, thers's lots of good material here. The three duets at the beginning are great -- and the two parts are equal as the lead shifts back and forth between first and second. The solos based on opera themes at the end are also worthwhile but, unfortunately the piano accompaniments are not included. |
Hello! I played the clarinet for over 13 years during my teen years and into my early 20s. I stopped playing in 2006 mainly because of time--I was and still am a full-time graduate student. I got married in 2008. I told my husband that I played the clarinet as a teen. We are currently moving into a new apartment and he found my old clarinet. He begged me to play for him. I went online to find some music that I could play. I was never advanced (even at my peak I played 2nd part but I usually played 3rd part) and only played as a hobby through college. I found this piece by Henry Lazarus for 3rd part and it appears WAY more advanced than 3rd part. I commend you all for putting sheet music online but I think maybe the levels indicated must be thought through again. |
