The work was created by simulating the composer’s
daily life, on 14 February 2010, which is a Chinese New
Year day of the year 2010.
The composer, whose grandfather and grandmother
from both father and mother’s sides, comes from
mainland China. They established themselves in
Thailand, have a Chinese descent, described about what
he had done in Chinese New Year in the name of a
Chinese Overseas in Thailand by writing this program
music, telling his story of the important day from the
sunrise till sunset.
Because the piece comes from real life, it is not
not a novel! It is so difficult to relate the theme
entirely. Normally, our daily activity was done and
over. We rarely repeat what we have done recently, or
that make us obsess!
The piece started with the rising of sun on 14
Feb. 2010, followed by the sleepy composer on the bed,
then the alarm clock rings but it did not disturb his
sweet dream, even though his mother comes to wake him
up. At last, she decided to open the Korean pop song, a
theme from Girls Generation- a famous girl group from
South Korea to wake him up. He slowly awoke and took
his time to recall his intellect and listen to what’s
his mother said to him.
The second scene was in the car. The composer and
his mother were on the way from home to Yaowarat- China
town in central Bangkok. On the way, the radio war
occurred! His mother wants to listen to Chinese pop
music but he wanted to listen to Bach’s Brandenburg
Concerto No.3. We argued for several minutes but
everything ended at long last.
Third scene is in Yaowarat- the biggest China town
in the Kingdom of Thailand. There it is crowded and
everyone is happy to celebrate the Chinese New Year’s
Day!
While I was walking at Yaowarat, suddenly,
Princess Sirindhorn arrived at Yaowarat. She is also
well known in China because she visits China many times
and she also interested in Chinese culture. The theme
describing the Princess was select from her Royal
Highness’ composition on Thai folk song “Som
Tum”.
After the Princess leaved, everything turned to
ordinary situation. I meet my mother after we separated
each other for hours for dinner at Chinese restaurant.
In the restaurant, there are some aquariums. The
requiem shark, waiting to be cooked! Swims and it snout
hits hit the tank and seems to be drawn, but it did not
give up. The second hits leads to its death. Nearby,
Giant Perches is jailed in another tank and the
Softshell Turtles in the net try to escape from the
net.
The conversation between my mother and I at the
restaurant was selected from the same theme that my
mother have the first conversation with me on the day.
We arrived home in the evening as well as the sun
sets. I meditation every day before bedtime but today I
was so tired. However I tried to meditate again and
again but my meditation leads me to fell asleep.
