François Couperin (1668–1733) was a French Baroque
composer, organist and harpsichordist. He was known as
Couperin le Grand ("Couperin the Great") to distinguish
him from other members of the musically talented
Couperin family.
The "Dialogue" is one of the bases of Baroque Music, and Couperin is a Master who takes every possibility into account. Though never going beyond one specific system of oposition (there are no "multiple" dialogues), his compositions of such a genre never lack...(+) |
