Ajoutée par saxman05, 24 Mar 2014 I composed this piece of music to commemorate my recent relocation to the state of Delaware, which probably no one has heard of. One of my saxophone heroes, Ernie Watts, grew up in Delaware and said in an interview that it was a nice place to practice. I would also add that it's a nice place to compose music! The composition uses the form of 12-bar blues with an 8 measure bridge and features "John Lewis" changes. It opens with the sound of the Maj.7th augmented 5th and develops that sound throughout. Contrary motion is a big part of this piece and each instrument has an interesting line to play. I hope you enjoy playing it. |
