Ajoutée par magataganm, 26 Jun 2015 Uns ist ein Kind geboren (Unto us a child is born), is a Christmas cantata which was formerly attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach as his BWV 142, but was most likely composed by his predecessor in Leipzig, Johann Kuhnau, around 1720. Although the cantata was scored for three vocal soloists (alto, tenor and bass), a four-part choir, two recorders, two oboes, two violins, viola and continuo, I created the arrangement for Flute, Oboe & Strings (2 Violins, Viola & Cello). Partition centrale : | Uns ist ein Kind geboren (13 partitions) | |
This is a very beautiful arrangement. I would love to learn how you decided on the choice of instruments. magataganm , 21 Oct 2020 à 19:39 ↪ Thank you! I am grateful that you like the arrangement. As far as the choice of instruments (a 'registration' per. se.), When I hear a piece (either by sound or by reading the score), my 'brain' ear hears something very different and usually becomes the determinant for my choice of instrumentation. Sometimes my choices come out rather poorly and I try to rearrange. Sometimes I am extremely pleased with the choice. Thank you again! |
