This piece is what it all goes about: the memory of a nice meeting somewhere on earth. After a short introduction the clarinet has a legato melody which the piano will take over solo in the middle part. You could play with much freedom in the tempi. It's just like talking with somebody. You can hear this rubato playing in the MP3 file with the Belgian clarinettist Henri De Roeck while I play the piano part.
