Ajoutée par saxman05, 23 Avr 2014 I wrote this composition to say "thank you" to Len Anderson, saxophonist extraordinaire, who gives so generously of his time to record my compositions. He usually sight reads and records a piece on the first take, hence the title "One And Done". After playing it, he tosses the music in a cardboard box never to be seen again. However the music lives on ad infinitum in his recorded version, so filled with life and the enthusiasm with which he plays. I usually write "Rest In Peace" on the music before I send it to him, knowing the fate that awaits it at the end of the day. I have enjoyed many hours of pleasure listening to his recorded interpretations of my music. Thank you, Leonard. |
