Added by paul-page, 17 Apr 2019 This piece was playing in my head on Monday morning. As I began to write, this text from Isaiah arrived as the catalyst for the number: “And then shall your light break forth like the dawn and your healing quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will protect you.” The piece evolved over several hours while Notre Dame was burning, something I didn’t know at the time. ... I recorded the piece last evening. When I played it for Teddie (my wife) a little while ago, she said it was “a cathedral piece.” (I did not prompt her with Notre Dame or the quote from Isaiah.) Some things maybe have a purpose that we just can’t understand. Perhaps this piece was always meant to be a paean to that great French gothic cathedral, a church I have visited a number of times in my life. The number runs just over 6:30. Find a quiet time to just sit and listen and pray. (Ear buds or AirPods recommended). Paul Source / Web : | Paul Page | |
