Added by cdavis64davis, 18 Dec 2020 Ice storms are a frequent occurrence in the American south. They are beautiful beyond description—the whole world encased in crystal, trees coated with a glistening layer of ice, a brilliantly glittering landscape in the morning sun. Unforgettable memories from long ago provide this musical imagery. Unfortunately, ice storms are very destructive, second only to tornadoes. Trees cannot support this sort of beauty, and large limbs are continually falling on cars and powerlines. |
