Début 1986 le groupe Queen enregistre l album A Kind of Magic contenant plusieurs titres destinés à la bande originale du film fantastique Highlander sorti la même année. L album est un grand succès ainsi que la déclinaison des singles A Kind of Magic Friends Will Be Friends Princes of the Universe et enfin Who Wants to Live Forever une chanson écrite par Brian May le guitariste du groupe.
