Michael’s Suite (1994) is a 4 movement work for solo Flute which will provide a suitable challenge for the advanced student or budding performer. It combines tonal and atonal elements in a lyrical style producing a modern work that is still fun to listen to. Ezra Laderman (1924-2015) was an American composer who was for many years also Dean and Professor at the Yale School of Music. He wrote for many mediums from solo instrumental and vocal works to large-scale choral and orchestral music as well as film and opera. His music although rigorously conceived speaks with immediacy and accessibility.
