This is a piece written by petition of the virtuoso horn player Javier Bonet, after the Concerto for French horn and orchestra "Ab origine".
In this piece for solo horn, the composer have brought together the appropriate fragments for natural horn (played in the Concerto by the four horns - hora-gai, alpine, natural and chromatic), creating a single piece in one movement without interruption. This proposal is an introduction to the study of the concerto, but also seeks to bring out the expressive possibilities of the natural horn. |
