Adolphus Hailstork's Sanctum is a recital piece he has written for the clarinet, and will be welcomed by players of the instrument. While Hailstork is well-known for his choral works and sweeping, thematic instrumental pieces, Sanctum allows players to see his more introspective, abstract side.
