Alan has crafted a superb arrangement of this treasured hymn that first appeared in the Sacred Harp Hymn Book of 1844. After a free introduction by choir and trumpet, the first two stanzas introduce the tune in strict tempo while the trumpet outlines melodic fragments above the chorus.
