Scripture: Psalms 145.
This setting of Psalm 145 is wedded to C. Hubert H. Parry's tune JERUSALEM. The piece begins with a simple statement of the elegant tune. The second stanza incorporates a brass descant while the third stanza begins with an a cappella canon. The fourth stanza employs full organ and brass, and includes a soaring descant. A great way to reinforce the use of this wonderful tune or to introduce it to the congregation for the first time. Includes reproducible hymn for congregation.
