Requiem for my friend written in dedication to film director Krzysztof Kieslowski (who passed away in March 1996) is in two parts. The first part - Requiem - consists of nine movements scored for soprano organ two countertenors tenor bass string quintet and percussion. It was recorded in Warsaw Cathedral and the Emaus Church in Krakow. The second part - Life - is also made of nine movements and is scored for soprano voice countertenor recorder alto saxophone piano sixty-piece orchestra and forty-piece choir.

Will Todd's Jazz Missa Brevis gives new life to the sung Latin Mass texts in an accessible, short setting which embraces a variety of jazz styles, from the swinging jazz waltz Kyrie to the up-beat Latin-groove Gloria. The smooth jazz ballad Sanctus, 7/8 Benedictus and soulful Agnus Dei complete this inspiring Mass setting. Underpinned by Todd's characteristic jazz harmonies and melodic craftsmanship, it is suitable for performance both liturgically and as part of a concert by mixed choirs of all abilities. Par SAINT-SAENS CAMILLE. Psalm 137 'Super flumina Babylonis' also known as 'By the rivers of Babylon' was an inspiration for many composers including Camille Saint-Saëns. He repeatedly occupied himself with his psalm motet for solo soprano, mixed choir, saxophone quartet, string orchestra and organ, originally composed in 1854. Two of the four versions ? the first version in Latin and a much later version in English for alto solo, SATB choir and piano ? are now available for the first time in Urtext performing editions taking a meticulous account of all the sources. Saint-Saëns lived up to his reputation as an innovative composer by exploring the use of the saxophone family in sacred music just a few years after the invention of these instruments.
